Dental Assistant Academy of Palm Beach

Dental Assistant Academy of Palm Beach offers two types of programs: outreach program and regular day program. The outreach program combines online classes with on-campus lab training. To graduate with a diploma, students must complete 50 credits. Graduates will also be eligible for a certificate that includes expanded functions of a dental assistant. These programs prepare students for the requirements of the dental assisting field. Here are some advantages to pursuing the program:

A dental assistant training program is very time-consuming. This profession requires strong work ethic and a genuine drive to learn. Those who apply themselves and put in their best effort will have more success. They should have strong time management and organization skills. There are also some prerequisite courses that students need to complete in order to qualify for admission. In order to apply for a program, students must be at least 16 years old. The Academy of Palm Beach offers several entry-level programs in dental assisting.

Graduates of the program will be ready to take the national certification exam. This program is designed to train students in all aspects of dental assisting. Students will learn about dental anatomy and procedures, dental x-rays, fluoride application, sealants, and dental materials.  Did you see this?  will work as dental assistants in private dental practices in the area, as well as at the University of Florida College of Dentistry. These programs require students to have a high school GPA of at least 2.0 and a course in biology and chemistry. The program is designed to train them in chairside and expanded function procedures.
